Europa Capital appoints new director for origination and acquisitions

Europa Capital has appointed Jean-Baptiste Puppi as Director, Origination & Acquisitions.

With over ten years of experience in the real estate sector, Puppi will be responsible for providing transaction management support with a specific focus on value add investments, including in the office, logistics and residential sectors across Europe.

Jean-Baptiste Puppi, who will be based in Europa Capital’s Paris office, joins from Hines where he spent the past five years as a Senior Associate, responsible for managing pan-European separate accounts focused on core offices, retail and residential, as well as overseeing the local asset management of value add initiatives, including a French and Irish office and retail portfolio.

Prior to joining Hines, Puppi was a Senior Analyst at Société Foncière Lyonnaise where he concentrated on the management of an offices, retail and hotel portfolio in Paris with a value add strategy. He also spent two years at BNP Paribas Real Estate as an Analyst.

Jean-Baptiste holds a MSc in Management and Economics from Paris Dauphine University which he completed with a MS in Corporate Finance from EM Lyon Business School. In the early stages of his career, he worked as an Economic Advisor at the UN in New York, before redirecting his career to finance and real estate.

Andy Watson, Partner at Europa Capital, commented: “Jean-Baptiste is an experienced real estate professional with a track record in both value add and core investing across many European markets. He is another excellent addition to our growing Paris-based team following the appointment of Emilie Bouthors as a Managing Director last year.

Jean-Baptiste Puppi, Director at Europa Capital, added: “Europa Capital manages an impressive portfolio of assets across Europe, and I look forward to supporting the capital deployment strategy to generate attractive returns for our clients.”
