Schroder Real Estate Investment Trust has appointed Sanjay Patel as an independent Non-executive Director with effect from 1 January 2024.
Patel will be a member of the audit, management engagement, and nomination committees.
Patel is a Chartered Accountant and is currently Chief Financial Officer and a Board member of Cadogan Group Limited, a large private real estate investment company. Prior to this role, Mr Patel served as Group Finance Director on the Board of Strutt & Parker LLP. Mr Patel is also a Member of the Audit and Risk Committee at London & Quadrant Housing Association.
Patel will replace Stephen Bligh on his retirement as Chair of the Audit Committee, which is expected to take place before the Company’s next Annual General Meeting.
