‘Salt Bae’ buys a hotel in Istanbul

Salt Bae, Nusret Gokce buys Nisantasi Park Hyatt hotel in Istanbul

The steakhouse chain’s owner Nusret Gokce (Salt Bae) who gained worldwide fame with his salt-sprinkling move ‘Saltbae’, has purchased the Park Hyatt Istanbul Nisantasi hotel from the Turkish firm Doğuş Group for EUR 50 million.

Nusret Gokce, better known as ‘Salt Bae’, announced this investment on his instagram account.

Today I reached my dream and lifelong goal of own hotel I am very proud to announce that I bought the diamond of Istanbul Nisantasi Park Hyatt’ he wrote.

‘The new tourism company Nusret Tourism Investment Inc. was established a month ago,’ said Ahmet Kilic, Operation Executive.

‘Mr.Gokce has entered the hotel industry with the purchase of this hotel from Dogus Group for 50 million euros. Sale transaction will be completed within 10 days,’ he said.

Istanbul Park Hyatt-Maçka Palas (Nisantasi) was built in 1922 by the Italian architect Guilio Mongeri, inspired by the famous “palazzo” of Milan, Maçka Palas is one of the most beautiful buildings in Istanbul. Other known works of Mongeri in Istanbul include the Italian Consulate Building in Maçka and the Istiklal Avenue. The hotel hosted many famous names such as poets, journalists, writers and composers.
