Panattoni sells logistics property in Germany to UBS

Panattoni has sold a fully let logitistics property, Panattoni Park Freiburg Süd, in Neuenburg am Rhein in Baden-Wuerttemberg to UBS Fund Management AG, a company listed on the Swiss stock exchange.

The property, completed in 2022, has been let long-term to Hornbach Baumarkt AG which uses the spaces to supply its Swiss hardware stores. The family-operated company, incorporated in Bornheim bei Landau in the Palatinate region, is a one of the largest operators of hardware and garden supply stores in Europe.

The let plots measure around 14,000 m², of which, approx. 12,100 m2 are hall space, 1,000 m2 are office and social space and 800 m2 of mezzanine space. The effective height is 10 m (to bottom of girders). The outdoor premises offer 50 passenger vehicle and 3 lorry parking spaces.

Panattoni developed the modern property near the French border in the three-border region between Germany, France and Switzerland, without pre-letting to tenants. As a result, the Panattoni Park has an excellent connection to the A5 federal motorway and the B378 state motorway.

During the development of the project, the developer successfully revitalised an approximately 23.800 m2 wasteland (Brownfield) in the Neuenburg industrial district, which required comprehensive dismantling and renaturation work. The new structure was built according to the newest state-of-the-art and taking countless sustainability aspects into account. It will be DGNB- Gold certified.
