P3 Logistic Parks has expanded its Dutch portfolio with the acquisition of a development asset in Amstelveen, the Netherlands.
The company has acquired the asset from logistics real estate developer Ringmeer B.V. who will shortly start developing P3 Amstelveen as state-of-the art warehouse, expected to be delivered by the start of next year.
P3 Logistic Parks has acquired a development asset on a freehold land in business park De Loeten, an established logistics area in Amstelveen, the Netherlands, that is specifically well-known for its greenhouse- and horticultural sector.
Thanks to its close proximity to Amsterdam and Schiphol Airport, the asset is ideally located for national and international logistics companies. With its direct location at the N201, P3 Amstelveen is easily accessible and provides quick access to the A2, A4, A9 and A10 freeways.
P3 Amstelveen is planned to be delivered by the start of next year. After completion, the building will consist of a lettable area of around 27,446 sqm, including a 22,618 sqm warehouse, 1,300 sqm office space and a 3,500 sqm mezzanine. This state-of-the-art distribution center, designed in collaboration between Heembouw Architecten and Nes Vastgoed, will be suited for light industrial, being able to hold 5,000 kg floor load and offer 12.2 m clear height, and 20 dock doors. It is dividable into two units making it possible for multi-tenant usage.
Léon Vié, Managing Director Netherlands & Belgium at P3 Logistic Parks, comments: “The acquisition of P3 Amstelveen is a great next step in our growth strategy for the Netherlands. After the successful acquisition of P3 Assen in 2022, we are proud to have realized another forward funding transaction in the country and are excited to add this state-of-the-art warehouse on a prime location to our portfolio.”
Lucas Veldhuisen, Nes Vastgoed on behalf of Ringmeer B.V.: “It was a challenging deal in a turbulent time. We are looking forward to turning this development into a success and delivering a high-end distribution center in Amstelveen with a BREEAM certification to P3.”
As a high-quality, modern logistic development, P3 Amstelveen is expected to receive the BREEAM certificate “Excellent”. The distribution center will be equipped with LED lighting, a water managing system and photovoltaic panels.
