European logistics real estate developer and manager Logicor is expanding its logistics footprint in Finland through a new development in Hakkila, Vantaa, Finland.
Logicor will bring a total of 11,000 sqm of lettable logistics and warehouse space to the market, including a new building of 6,000 sqm that is currently under construction, and an existing warehouse.
The development project will complement Logicor’s existing million-square-metre property portfolio in Finland and is located in one of the most highly sought-after logistics sites in the capital region, where the current supply of new and modern logistics space is low.
The development will improve the efficiency of the plot with a new, energy-efficient 6,000 sqm logistics and warehouse building, which will be completed in summer 2024.
The new development project will be implemented in accordance with Logicor’s high environmental standards, targeting BREEAM Very Good certification.
Joona Suomela, Country Manager, Logicor Finland, said: “We are developing our site and simultaneously increasing our presence in this highly sought-after logistics and industrial district in Vantaa.
“This location is in high demand among our customers, but it currently has a low supply of space that meets today’s standards.
“The site is flexible, which enables us to offer premises ranging from 3,000 to 11,000 sqm depending on our customers’ needs.”
The Hakkila logistics site is located 15 kilometres from the city centre of Helsinki, and seven kilometres from Helsinki-Vantaa Airport. The location offers quick access to key transport routes of southern Finland and Vuosaari Harbour.
