Ilkka Tomperi appointed as COO at CapMan Real Estate

Nordic private assets management and investment firm CapMan has appointed Ilkka Tomperi as Partner and COO for CapMan Real Estate as of 1 February 2023.

He joins CapMan from construction company YIT, where he served as Executive Vice President, Property Development and member of the Management Team. Before this he worked at Varma as Investment Director, Head of Real Estate.

Before Varma, he was Partner at CapMan, where he had a central role in the establishment of a Nordic organisation at CapMan Real Estate and the first pan-Nordic real estate fund. Tomperi’s previous experiences also include serving as Vice President, Private Real Estate at Franklin Templeton Investments and Head of Other Investments & Portfolio Manager at The State Pension Fund of Finland. Additionally, Tomperi has held several positions of trust, and currently, he is Vice-Chair of the Management Board at INREV and Professor of Practice (Real Estate Investment) at Aalto University. Tomperi holds a PhD degree in Finance.
