Europa Capital appoints head of real estate finance

Europa Capital has appointed Gwendal Kalkofen to the newly created role of head of real estate finance.

With over 15 years of experience in the real estate sector, Kalkofen will primarily be responsible for sourcing, executing and managing debt financing for Europa Capital’s real estate investments in Europe.

Kalkofen, who will be based in Europa Capital’s London office and report to chief financial officer, Kevin D’Arcy, joins from Tristan Capital Partners where he spent the past couple of years as managing director overseeing debt and fund finance.

Prior to joining Tristan Capital Partners, he was head of real estate finance at Cromwell Property Group where he was responsible for the liquidity and risk management of its European business. This included the raising of debt for core to opportunistic investment strategies, as well as securing and managing facilities with a variety of national and international lenders.

Gwendal holds a Master of Science in Economics and Geography from the University of Augsburg & Munich, Germany.
