Apple has signed a long-term lease with Kilroy Realty Corporation, a publicly traded real estate investment trust based in Los Angeles, for fully occupy of 333 Dexter located in the South Lake Union submarket of Seattle.
Apple announced its expansion plan in Seattle with a press event at 333 Dexter on Monday. Apple plans to hire more than 2,000 employees over the next five years.
333 Dexter is KRC’s first ground-up development in Seattle and is expected to complete in late 2019, said Kilroy Realty in a press release.
The 333 Dexter comprises two LEED Platinum 12-story towers which total around 650,000 square feet of office and retail space, including three stories of large, flexible floor plates, each approximately 60,000 square feet.The buildings have 830 parking spaces on five levels below grade and parking for 455 bikes.
Bounded by Dexter Avenue and Highway 99/Aurora Avenue, 333 Dexter is less than 500 yards from Seattle’s iconic Space Needle and has direct access to key regional transportation routes, including the recently opened SR-99.
Additionally, 333 Dexter is in close proximity to leading global technology and life science innovators, including the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Amazon.com and UW Medicine.
