U.S.-based real estate development company Trammell Crow Company (TCC) has appointed Thierry Bougeard as head of Iberia logistics.
Based in Barcelona, he will be responsible for the overall direction, strategy, sourcing, acquisition, and financing for the development of large-scale logistics development projects for the firm throughout Spain and Portugal.
He will report to Ian Worboys, TCC’s managing director, head of European logistics.
“Thierry’s knowledge of and deep experience in developing Class A logistics facilities throughout Spain and Portugal made him the ideal leader to spearhead our team and future development projects in these regions,” said Worboys. “His creative expertise in economic analysis of land and asset acquisitions, capital structuring, market research, feasibility analysis, due diligence, leasing, and disposition will enable us to quickly identify and secure deals.”
Prior to joining TCC, Bougeard served as the head of industrial and logistics, Spain, for BNP Paribas RE, Barcelona. He has also held various senior roles at EXA Real Estate, Insignia Real Estate, and Atisreal. Bougeard is a 30-year industry veteran.
“I am pleased to be joining TCC and joining our strong European team already in place,” added Bougeard. “Investors and occupiers continue to be drawn to Spain and Portugal given the favorable economic climate and we plan to quickly capitalize on the growth and demand in the warehousing and distribution sector that is being driven by the e-commerce market.”
Today, Trammell Crow Company’s European operations are now in Spain, the United Kingdom, Czech Republic and France, with Germany opening imminently.
