St. Modwen Properties PLC has appointed Dame Alison Nimmo DBE as a non-executive director, effective February 1, 2021.
She will join the Audit, Nomination and Remuneration Committees of the Board on her appointment.
Dame Alison has more than 30 years’ experience in the real estate sector and was formerly Chief Executive of The Crown Estate between 2012 and 2019. She previously held senior roles at the London 2012 Olympic Games for over eight years, becoming Director of Design and Regeneration of the Olympic Delivery Authority. Prior to this, she led major regeneration projects in Sheffield and Manchester having been a consultant at KPMG. Dame Alison was awarded a CBE for services to urban regeneration in 2004, and a DBE for public services and services to the Exchequer in 2019.

A non-executive director of The Berkeley Group Holdings plc, Dame Alison has been a trustee of the UK Green Building Council, Chair of the CBI’s Economic Growth Board, a council member of Imperial College and Chair of its White City Syndicate. Most recently, she became a commissioner of The Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851. Dame Alison is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
