US-based real estate and infrastructure assets investment manager Realterm has expanded its logistics real estate platform in Europe with the acquisition of four industrial outdoor storage (IOS) facilities.
The fully leased portfolio, which boasts eight to 15 drive-through maintenance bays at each property, is located across four cities throughout the Netherlands and has a total land area of 74,352 square meters.
“We strongly believe in the performance of the European IOS market and welcome the addition of this portfolio to the fund,” said Alberto Radice Fossati, Managing Director and Fund Manager, Realterm. “Low site coverage IOS facilities, which facilitate transport movement, are a main focus of Realterm’s strategy. These assets, with an average EPC A, are situated in prime logistics locations in the Noord-Brabant and Limburg provinces and funded 100 percent by equity.”
“The European logistics market has seen tremendous growth in these past few years,” said Jon Chalkley, Senior Vice President, Investments, Europe, Realterm. “These four properties are a tremendous addition to our European portfolio as we continue to secure the best industrial outdoor storage locations in key markets.”
The transaction was led by Marieke de Jong, Head of Investments for Realterm in the Benelux region. Realterm was represented in this transaction by Jones Lang Lasalle, DLA Piper, SGS Search and Longevity Partner.
