Prologis has expanded its Dutch portfolio with the acquisition of four new distribution centers in the Netherlands from KKR and Mirastar.
The new facilities are located at the prime logistics locations of Bleiswijk, Roosendaal and Amsterdam (Schiphol) in the Netherlands and cover a total of 127,000 square meters of lettable area.
Built with a strong focus on sustainability, these modern properties feature LED lighting, solar panels and charging points for electric vehicles. The four buildings therefore have a BREEAM Excellent or Very Good certification.
Bleiswijk DC3
Built in 2021, this facility covers 48,498 square feet, is already 100% leased and has a BREEAM Very Good certification. This acquisition further expands Prologis’ presence in the Rotterdam market and underlines the company’s ability to continuously offer new logistics solutions in prime locations across Europe.
Roosendaal DC2 and DC3
Prologis adds these two newly built (2021) properties to its portfolio in the logistics hotspot Roosendaal, in the south of the Netherlands, where the European interior is connected to the coast. Roosendaal DC2 (33,317 square metres) and DC3 (10,168 square metres) are fully let and certified as BREEAM Excellent. Together, these acquisitions significantly expand Prologis’ presence at the heart of one of Europe’s busiest logistics thoroughfares.
Schiphol DC5, Amsterdam
The Amsterdam portfolio is complemented by the recently built (2022) Schiphol DC5 facility, which has a BREEAM Excellent certificate. With its location next to Schiphol Airport, an international hub for logistics and distribution, the 34,509 square meter warehouse is already 50% let.
Sander Breugelmans, Senior Vice President Prologis: ” These acquisitions emphasize our focus on creating logistics hubs in the core European markets where our customers operate. We are delighted to add these four buildings to our portfolio, thereby continuing to meet the growth needs of our clients through strategically located and highly sustainable real estate in the Netherlands. ”
