Patrizia plans to relocate its London HQ from Knightsbridge to the hClub, at 24, Endell Street, in the heart of London’s vibrant Borough of Camden and its Covent Garden district.
”Subject to planning permission being granted, Patrizia’s move into its new premises would be scheduled to be completed by 2024 to allow for extensive modernization and refurbishment work in line with Patrizia’s sustainability targets,” said the company in a press release.
Patrizia said it intends to help transform the London landmark with its rich history in the creative industry into state-of-the art, creative office space.
“In 2018, well before Covid, we predicted that the future of offices won’t be just places for routine administration and standardized tasks. We wanted to lead the way in shaping the office of the future and started our New Work initiative for all Patrizia workspaces. Our ambition was to create a work environment for even more creativity, collaboration, productivity and more fun at work,” said Patrizia Founder and CEO Wolfgang Egger.
“New Work is a strong expression of our Patrizia company culture to be open, curious, creative and flexible. And cutting-edge technology in our New Work concept empowers us to live our values and purpose: since 1984 we have been making an impact by building communities and sustainable futures,” he added.
Simon Woolf, Chief Human Resources Officer, said: “New Work at Patrizia isn’t just about office space, it’s about our culture, in essence our organisational DNA. The four pillars of this programme of change are defined by the following principles: Work Free, Work Flexible, Work Smart and Work Well. That’s how we recently designed and refurbished our new offices in Frankfurt and Luxembourg, despite the pandemic. Additionally, our Patrizia Smart building technology solutions help them become vibrant spaces full of creativity and collaboration. With our relocation in London to such an iconic building as the hClub, we’re convinced that this will be just as exciting as we re-imagine the office space of the future. Our colleagues in Frankfurt and Luxembourg are already thriving in their new workspaces, surrounded by inspirational pieces of street art from our own Patrizia Art Lab collection. We’re excited to also build this into the design of such an inherently creative space as the hClub. I’ve no doubt that our new premises in London will be an inspiring space which allows our people to flourish.”
The hClub building, which was once a members’ club, was recently acquired by WE Holding.
Strategically located in the highly attractive London Borough of Camden, with short distances to restaurants, cafés and cultural venues, the hClub is also near major transport hubs. Covent Garden, Holborn and Tottenham Court Road stations are all within five minutes walking distance.
In addition, the building will benefit from the launch of the new Elizabeth Line / Crossrail link, scheduled for competition 2022, providing high-speed connections to Canary Wharf in the East, and to Paddington Station in the West through Tottenham Court Road station.
