HIH Invest buys light industrial property near Leipzig/Halle Airport

HIH Invest Real Estate GmbH (HIH Invest) has purchased a light industrial property in Kabelsketal in Saxony-Anhalt.

The 10,419 square meter rental space is located in the logistics center between Leipzig and Halle/Saale, with a direct connection to the motorway and the rail network and in the immediate vicinity of Leipzig/Halle Airport.

The property was built in 2019, the seller is Malcolm 22 Immobilien GmbH. The tenant of the property is AES Airplane Equipment & Services GmbH (AES), an EU/USA/UK-certified maintenance company for aircraft components and air freight containers, which benefits directly from the location at the airport. The rental agreement was concluded for ten years and runs until 2033.

The purchase was made for the open special AIF HIH Germany+ Core Logistik Invest.

“Logistics is the lifeline of a functioning economy and defies the current challenges, because demand continues to exceed the supply of modern space. In the Leipzig/Halle region, which has developed into a logistics hotspot in recent years, there is a particular lack of light industrial space,” explains Maximilian Tappert, Head of Transaction Management Logistics at HIH Invest.
