Commerz Real sells Bergamo properties to Generali and Percassi

Commerz Real completes sale of Bergamo assets to Generali and Percassi

Commerz Real has finalised the sale of its Orio Center shopping mall and the adjacent NH Hotel, located just south of Bergamo, Italy.

The Orio Center has been acquired by a joint venture between a pan-European fund managed by Generali Real Estate and the Italian project developer Percassi Group, while the NH Hotel will be taken over exclusively by Percassi.

Originally completed in 1998, the Orio Center became part of Commerz Real’s Hausinvest open-ended real estate fund in 2000. Over the years, Commerz Real enhanced the property through various extensions and supplemented it with the neighbouring NH Hotel, which opened in 2008. Today, the mall features approximately 250 retail units across 67,700 square metres of lettable area, with occupancy nearing full capacity. The hotel comprises 118 rooms.

Strategically located three kilometres south of Bergamo, both assets benefit from immediate access to the A4 motorway, Italy’s busiest highway, and proximity to Milan Bergamo Airport, underscoring their appeal for both retail and hospitality operators.

This block sale reflects Commerz Real’s continued focus on optimising its portfolio while offering investors prime retail and hospitality assets in high-demand Italian locations.
