CBRE Group has announced plans to establish its new Global Financial Headquarters at the historic Lever House, located at 390 Park Avenue in Midtown Manhattan.
The space, designed and operated by flexible workspace provider Industrious, marks a significant expansion of CBRE’s financial presence in New York.
Set to open in the fourth quarter of 2025, the headquarters will span 64,350 sq ft across six contiguous floors. Four of these floors will house CBRE Investment Management’s headquarters, including its Co-CEOs, the company’s Chief Financial Officer, and key corporate functions that support global operations. The remaining two floors will feature an Industrious-managed flex workspace, catering to senior executives and offering shared amenities.
CBRE has partnered with Industrious to implement a unique managed fixed-flex lease model. Under this arrangement, Industrious will oversee the design, buildout, and operation of both CBRE’s headquarters and the adjacent flex workspace. This model allows CBRE to scale its occupancy as needed while benefiting from shared amenities and profits generated by the Industrious workspace.
“Lever House is a premier address that will help us attract top real estate finance talent,” said Bob Sulentic, CBRE’s chair and chief executive officer. “Its location in Midtown’s financial district and proximity to our longstanding hub at 200 Park make it an ideal choice. The new space will provide a compelling workplace experience, and our partnership with Industrious sets a new standard for corporate headquarters.”
Jamie Hodari, CEO and co-founder of Industrious, added: “We’re thrilled to partner with CBRE on this innovative project. This new mode of occupancy will deliver a workspace that CBRE’s people will love while showcasing a model that could redefine corporate HQs.”
Lever House, an iconic modernist landmark since 1982, recently underwent a $100 million redevelopment by co-owners WatermanClark and Brookfield Properties. The revitalization includes a refreshed lobby, a public plaza, and upgraded building systems, ensuring the building’s legacy as a premier office location in New York City.
CBRE’s longstanding hub at 200 Park Avenue will remain the headquarters for its New York Tri-State Advisory Services business and Global Workplace Solutions teams. The new Global Financial Headquarters complements this presence, positioning CBRE to better serve clients and attract top talent in the competitive real estate finance market.
This move signals CBRE’s commitment to expanding its influence in New York and driving innovation in corporate workspace solutions.
