BNP Paribas Real Estate appoints new head of property management in Europe
Csongor Csukás

BNP Paribas Real Estate has appointed Csongor Csukás as Head of Property Management in Europe.

He will be taking the reins from Lauric Leclerc, who will leave at the end of March.

Csukás is extending the scope of his responsibilities from France to encompass the Group’s European business, representing over 46 million sqm of real estate across Europe.

In particular, he will be tasked with boosting the performance of the property management business line at pan-European level in keeping with BNP Paribas Real Estate’s 2022-2025 strategic plan.

BNP Paribas Real Estate Property Management is therefore pressing ahead with its “Human Estate” strategy, making people the focus of the business and helping to transform the property manager’s role. This approach leverages the teams’ collective intelligence, a trusting and advisory relationship with clients, as well as thorough knowledge and management of buildings, especially via Property Data Insight, an innovative tool for data visualisation and real-time asset benchmarking.

“Thanks to their pivotal role with investors and occupiers, property managers are key players in the real estate chain. Given the ongoing changes in usage and in our profession, I am convinced that Csongor will be able to lead the teams to achieve the agility and excellence sought by our clients,” remarks Thierry Laroue-Pont, Chief Executive Office of BNP Paribas Real Estate.

Csongor Csukás, 43, began his career in 2002 at BFM Ltd, a subsidiary of PBW Hungary SA, a member of the AEW Europe Group. He was Managing Director there between 2004 and 2008 and then became Deputy CEO of PBW Hungary from 2008 to 2010. He then joined BNP Paribas Real Estate as Managing Director for Hungary, Romania and the Czech Republic. He was later made Head of International Property Management in 2014 and Chairman of BNP Paribas Real Estate Property Management France in 2018.

Csongor is a graduate of Budapest University of Technology and Economics and also the Corvinus University of Budapest. He holds a Master’s degree in East-West Industrial Project Management from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Arts et Métiers (Arts et Métiers ParisTech).

Alongside working for BNP Paribas Real Estate, Csongor Csukás is a member of the RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) and the CPAI (Club des Partenaires et Acteurs de l’Immobilier). He has also been the chairman of APROMA (Association of Property Managers) since 2020.
