Ben Anderson joins Knight Frank's life sciences and innovation team

Global property adviser Knight Frank has appointed Ben Anderson as an Associate within its fast-growing Life Sciences and Innovation team.

Based in Knight Frank’s London office, Ben will strengthen the firm’s landlord and occupier advisory expertise in the life sciences sector in the UK, including the Golden Triangle between London, Cambridge, and Oxford.

Anderson joins Knight Frank from Guy’s & St Thomas’ Foundation where he was a Developmental Surveyor focused on the development of a new life sciences hub in Lambeth. He previously worked as an Asset Manager and Developmental Surveyor at Bruntwood SciTech, working on the development, management, and operation of the UK’s largest portfolio of science and technology assets.

In his new role at Knight Frank, Anderson will work closely with Emma Goodford, Head of Life Sciences and Innovation, advising clients across development, leasing, investment and occupational markets, including on technical requirements, future-proofing developments to reflect requirements around AI and robotics, and new innovation districts. Additionally, he will strengthen the team’s landlord and occupier advisory capabilities in advanced manufacturing and logistics within life sciences.

Emma Goodford, Head of Life Sciences & Innovation at Knight Frank, commented: “Ben’s experience advising on some of the UK’s most significant new life sciences projects will support the continued expansion of Knight Frank’s life sciences capabilities, giving innovative developers, occupiers and landlords access to expert insight into cutting-edge technical and operational trends. Ben’s knowledge and expertise will also enable us to strengthen our capability in advanced manufacturing, logistics and operations.”

Ben Anderson, Associate, UK Life Sciences & Innovation at Knight Frank, added: “Given the nationwide shortage of lab space and the emerging pipeline of potential life sciences clusters in the UK, it is an exciting but crucial time for the market. I am looking forward to working with clients across the UK to navigate these trends and the shifting regulatory environment, and to joining some of the market’s most influential and well-connected advisers at Knight Frank.”
