Aviva Investors has expanded its portfolio in Amsterdam with the acquisition of a highly sustainable office building located in the heart of city’s central business district.

In all, the building provides 17,600 sq m of Grade-A office space spread over eight floors, with open and flexible floorplates ranging between 2,000 and 3,400 sq m. Occupiers also benefit from on-site restaurant facilities.

It is the third significant acquisition by Aviva Investors in Amsterdam’s Zuidas, Central Business District, in 2022, following its purchase of the highly sustainable FOZ building in the middle of the district in March and The Vondel Portfolio in April, comprising of eight office assets in April.

George Fraser-Harding, Head of European Funds, Real Estate, at Aviva Investors, commented: “We are pleased to complete this deal, continuing the proactive growth our European real estate portfolio in 2022, and to have increased our presence in the South Axis, one of Europe’s most dynamic and exciting office markets. Not only does Zuiderhof II meet our requirements for high-quality assets we believe can provide good long-term income streams, its enviable sustainability credentials position it well within our ambitious climate transition strategy.”
