Homes England has acquired Teville Gate, a pivotal brownfield site in Worthing, West Sussex.
Homes England plans to regenerate the area and create around 250 new homes.
Teville Gate is located in the town centre, near to the town’s train station, and in close proximity to bus routes and local facilities.
The intention for the site is to create a sustainable development with well-designed open spaces and improved pedestrian and cycle routes.
Homes England has agreed to acquire the site immediately, to then lease it back to Worthing Borough Council while it carries out the preparatory work, ensuring that the site can be used for other purposes whilst plans for the site are developed.

Teville Gate was bought by the council for in 2021 to drive forward its regeneration and is the first site in the south east to be purchased by Homes England through the Brownfield Infrastructure and Land Fund (BIL).
